Obituary Sister Patricia Clark, OSF

Sister Patricia Clark, OSF, went home to God on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Jolenta Convent in Syracuse. She was born in New Brunswick, N.J. to Robert and Margaret (Armstrong) Clark. She was a Sister of St. Francis for 69 years.
   Sister graduated as a registered nurse from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Utica and received a bachelor of science degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
   As a nurse, she ministered in many of Community Hospitals: Mercy Hospital, Auburn; St. James Hospital, Newark, N.J.; Loretto Rest and the Motherhouse Infirmary, Syracuse; St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Utica; and Bishop Home, Molokai, Hawaii. She was a nurse at the original Dorn Day Care Center (now Gingerbread House) and was a member of the Foster Grandparent Program at Crouse Hospital. Sister also did catechetical and social work in many schools around the Syracuse area.  
   Sister Patricia will be remembered in the hearts of many because of her kindness, dedication, nurturing of people of all ages and her easy-going, warm, loving nature. Hers was a life of service.
   Sister Patricia was predeceased by her brother George and is survived by sister Helen Fritz, nephew Robert Clark, niece Susan Mastropolo, sister-in-law Rita Clark and the Sisters of St. Francis.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was held following calling hours at St. Anthony Chapel in Syracuse Aug. 20. Burial took place at Assumption Cemetery.
