Parish musicians: ‘Can you hear me now?’

The Sanzone Center for Catholic Studies and Theological Reflection at Le Moyne College will present two evenings of reflection for parish musicians in the diocese Oct. 3 and 10. They will be presented by Tom Andino, director of Liturgy and Music at Le Moyne.
As another year of ministry begins, all cantors, choir members, instrumentalists and conductors are invited to come together for an evening of reflection and prayer. Whether you have served as a parish musician for years or are just beginning, this evening will provide you with an opportunity to spend a few hours reflecting on your gifts and your ministry. What music is, the role it plays in society, and how it is utilized as a tool for ministry and prayer will also be explored.
The first event will be held Thurs., Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at Le Moyne College’s Panasci Family Chapel, 1419 Salt Springs Rd., Syracuse. The second event will be held Thurs., Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul-Blessed Sacrament Church, 165 Clifton Blvd., Vestal. Cost is $10 per person; special ensemble/choir group rates are available.
For more information or to make a reservation, call Tom Andino by Monday, Sept. 30, at (315) 445-4547.
