New roof needed for St. Patrick’s School

ONEIDA — St. Patrick’s School and Church are seeking help from the community to repair roofing damages to a section of the interior of the school caused by heavy rain this past spring and summer. The estimate to repair the roof is expected to be over $50,000 and work needs to be completed as soon as possible to avoid further deterioration and to allow the school to open on time for the new school year beginning in September.
“We have always been blessed by the generosity of our benefactors who have enabled us to maintain the building while providing a quality, affordable Catholic education to area children,” Principal Peg Brown said. “We are hoping and praying that we will receive that support again as we try to raise $50,000 for this roofing project.”
The repairs to the roof are currently underway. To help St. Patrick’s Raise the Roof project, send a tax-deductible donation to St. Patrick’s Raise the Roof Campaign, 354 Elizabeth St., Oneida, NY, 13421. For more information, call Principal Peg Brown at (315) 363-3620.
