Grygiel retires from St. John’s

John J. Grygiel, business manager at St. John the Evangelist Church in New Hartford for over 20 years, retired on Sept. 30. His parish writes:

“John has given tirelessly to St. John’s, having been a member of the parish since childhood. He and his wife Agnes raised five children in New Hartford; all attended St. John’s Elementary School.

John served the parish, its parishioners and the diocese well during his tenure and has seen the parish through many changes. Father Paul Drobin, who was pastor in 1994, asked John if he would be willing to lend a hand in running the parish. The offer was accepted and for the next 20 years John served under a succession of pastors that included Father Drobin, Father Darr Schoenhofen, Father Joseph Zareski and Pastoral Administrators Father John Quinn and, currently, Father Joseph Salerno.”

The parishioners and staff thank John for all he has done for the parish and wish him many years of health and happiness.
