Students shoot hoops for mission trip

BINGHAMTON — Seton Catholic Central boys and girls basketball players recently held a basketball foul-shot contest called “Hoops for Haiti” to raise

money for a seven-day mission trip by Seton Catholic Central teachers and students that began on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18. The students collected pledges for every foul shot they made and raised more than $6,000 to help widows and support programs at two orphanages in Haiti. Look for more about their mission trip in an upcoming issue of the Sun.
