Syracuse Diocese to host New Evangelization Summit simulcast

On April 24 and 25, the Diocese of Syracuse will be one of 20 select host sites across North America to simulcast a live stream of the dynamic “New Evangelization Summit” (NES). A

two-day conference expected to reach over 5,000 Catholics, the event will feature eight world-renowned speakers at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre in Canada. The Syracuse event is being sponsored by the diocese’s Office of Evangelization and will be held at the New York State Fairgrounds in the Empire Room, 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, beginning Friday, April 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and continue April 25 from 9:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Nathan and Tammy Gun will host the Friday night festivities and Dan and Valerie Gibbons will host the event on Saturday. More than 25 hospitality ambassadors will be on hand both days to welcome attendees.

The goal of the NES is to inspire, encourage, train and offer practical insight to Catholics by providing new perspective and resources on evangelization and how each Catholic can personally and effectively evangelize in today’s world.

Summit speakers, all evangelization leaders in their local communities as well as internationally, include Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. Ralph Martin, Ken Yasinski, Patrick Coffin, Father James Mallon, Father Michael Gaitley, JoEllen Gregus and Michael Dopp.

All Catholics, including pastors, missionaries, lay missionaries, lay ministers and the faithful, can benefit from participating in this event, which will also include prayer, music, dialogue and personal testimony.

Registration for the Syracuse simulcast is $65 and includes lunch on Saturday. Those interested in attending can register online at
www.newevangelization.ca.
