Once again, the people of our diocese have responded to the terrible natural disaster that took place in Nepal in April of this year. Through their generosity, we have collected and sent to Catholic Relief Services $87,468.00 for relief efforts.
It is amazing how the people in the Diocese of Syracuse respond when the need arises. Our prayers go out to the many volunteers assisting in the relief efforts, and the individuals and families affected by this disaster.
If you would like updated information on the progress of CRS in Nepal, please go to their website at www.CRS.org.
Again, on behalf of all those affected, we thank you for your generosity, continuing prayers and compassion shown.
Joseph G. Slavik, Director
Catholic Relief Services, Diocese of Syracuse
