Stolen tree honoring Msgr. Willenburg replaced

UTICA — A tree dedicated on July 10 to the memory of Msgr. Francis Willenburg, the former pastor of St. Agnes Church, Utica, was stolen on Aug. 3 from an area on Memorial Parkway in Utica, near the zoo.
Bishop Thomas Costello, a close friend and former college roommate of Msgr. Willenburg’s, was present for the initial dedication of the tree in July.
The replacement tree was planted on Aug. 15 at the corner of Memorial Parkway and Master Garden Road in Utica.
