Most Holy Rosary marks milestone anniversary

Most Holy Rosary School in Syracuse celebrated its 100th anniversary Sept. 12 with a special open house, Mass and reception, drawing a full house of students, alums, families and friends.

A Centennial Memory Room was set up in the school, offering a stroll through history. Class photos, yearbooks, school banners, uniforms and more had visitors reminiscing and brimming with school spirit.

At the Mass, celebrated by Bishop Robert J. Cunningham, Auxiliary Bishop Thomas J. Costello offered a heartfelt homily highlighting the school’s storied students and staff, offering special thanks to the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary past and present who have served the school. The sisters present sang the Communion hymn, and as Mass concluded, MHR Pastor Father Fred Mannara joined students in singing the school’s alma mater.
