Ruscitto to retire from St. Joseph’s Health

St. Joseph’s Health President & CEO Kathryn Ruscitto announced March 11 that she will retire from her position at the end of 2016.

Ruscitto, a St. Joseph’s employee since 2001, became its president and CEO in 2011.

“I am extremely proud to have had the chance to share in the stewardship of St. Joseph’s 147 year mission — to be passionate healers dedicated to honoring the Sacred in our sisters and brothers,” Ruscitto said in the press release announcing her decision to retire. “The dedication of each of our colleagues, volunteers and affiliated professionals has made my turn at this role an absolute privilege.”

St. Joseph’s officially became a member of Trinity Health, a national Catholic health care system, in July.  St. Joseph’s transition to Trinity Health will be substantially complete by the end of the year, according to the release.

A national search for a new president will begin later this month, the release said.

The complete release is available at thecatholicsun.com.
