Annual culinary event slated for Oct. 1 at Syracuse church

The seventh annual Taste of Holy Family, a culinary event, is scheduled for Oct. 1.

LifeTeen at Holy Family will host an evening of food and fun as cooks of all ages share their skills in competing for best-of-category. Guests will be nourished with samples of appetizers, entrees, side dishes, and desserts with an autumn flavor.

There will be music, raffles, and live and silent auctions of gifts and tickets for Central New York activities. The event raises funds for the LifeTeen Winter Retreat and the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. LifeTeen is a youth ministry organization that stresses fellowship and  community service.

Taste of Holy Family will be held 6-9 p.m. in the school gym, 124 Chapel Drive, Syracuse. For more information or to donate goods or services, contact youth minister Chris Spilka,

315-488-5884.  Tickets are $15. Wine and beer will be available.
