IC students hit the woods

Fayetteville — Students at Immaculate Conception School visited Baltimore Woods Nature Center for a day of walking and hiking Sept. 21. The students used nets to explore the pond habitat and see the fascinating adaptations animals and plants have made. Using visual presentations and games, students learned how plants make energy to live and reproduce. Students were divided into groups for a plant scavenger hunt, and they collected insects; the Baltimore Woods guide talked about them before letting the insects go free.
