Six New School Administrators announced

Bishop Robert J. Cunningham and Christopher Mominey, superintendent of Catholic Schools, are pleased to announce six new school administratrors in the Catholic School System.

Stephen R. Bradley has been appointed Principal of Holy Family School in Norwich.  Bradley is an excellent candidate for the position as he has had over 20 years of experience in both education, as well as administration. He has a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in economics and a master’s degree in education from Tufts University. He also earned his Certificate of Advanced Study in counseling from Oneonta and a Certificate of Advanced Study in school administration from SUNY Cortland.

Bradley retired as principal of Unadilla Valley Central School in New Berlin at the end of the last school year. He has served as an elementary and a high school principal at Unadilla Valley since 1999. Bradley has also been a school counselor for grades 7-12 at Unadilla Valley and a high school social studies teacher and counselor at Oxford Academy in Oxford, N.Y.

Sister Helen Ann Charlebois, IHM, has been named principal of Cathedral Academy at Pompei in Syracuse.

Having been missioned far and wide, she has many experiences in both teaching and administration, in many different settings.  Sister Helen was the principal of Most Holy Rosary in Syracuse. She has also served as assistant superintendent for the Diocese of Syracuse. She has administrative experience with grade levels ranging from pre-k to eighth grade and has taught grades ranging from second to 12th.

Additionally, she has taught in rural, suburban and urban settings in various places, including, but not limited to, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, New York City, Long Island, North Carolina, and Idaho.

Mary A. Conroy has been appointed principal of Holy Cross School in DeWitt. Conroy has over 25 years of experience in education. A graduate of Nazareth College with a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology, she has also earned a master’s  degree in reading education and a Certificate of Advanced Study in educational administration from SUNY Oswego.

She retired from her current position as executive director for special education at Liverpool Central School District to begin her new position as principal of Holy Cross School. Conroy has been working for the Liverpool Central School District since 1984, serving as teacher of the speech and hearing impaired, assistant director of special education, principal of Extended School Year Program, as well as her most recent position. Prior to 1984, she served as teacher of the speech and handicapped for Mexico Academy and Central Schools.

Marc P. Crouse has been appointed Principal of Bishop Grimes Prep in East Syracuse. A highly-qualified candidate for the position, he received his bachelor’s degree in history at SUNY Oswego in 1992. He earned a master’s degree in education from Le Moyne College and a Certificate of Advanced Studies at SUNY Oswego. He has his NYS Permanent Certification in Social Studies 5-12 and his NYS permanent certification in school district administration.

Crouse has vast experience in both education and administration. He recently served as assistant principal of Paul V. Moore High School in the Central Square School District, a position he held since September 2007. In addition to this position, in 2009, he also served as interim elementary principal at CSI Elementary of the Central Square School District. Prior to his work for the CSD, he served as athletic director for the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District. He was also assistant principal of the Oswego County Summer School during the summer of 2005.

Renae A. Henderson has been appointed principal of St. Mary’s Academy in Baldwinsville.

Henderson has been a fifth grade teacher at Holy Cross Elementary School in Dewitt since 2002. Since May 2010, she has, in addition to her teaching, taken on an administrative internship at the Holy Cross Elementary School. Prior to her career in education, she was a practicing nurse and director of nursing for Interim HealthCare.

Henderson has a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Empire College in health care management.  She has also studied at Syracuse University, receiving her master’s degree in elementary education and has earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in the area of education leadership from Le Moyne College.

Brenda Reichert has been appointed the new principal at Most Holy Rosary in Syracuse.

A graduate from Le Moyne College with a bachelor’s degree in English education, Reichert also earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Chapman University and a Certificate of Advanced Study as a school building leader.

Reichert has worked as a kindergarten teacher at St. Matthew School, as well as a substitute teacher for East Syracuse-Minoa Schools. She has been the ADAPEP counselor for the Syracuse Diocesan Schools since 1989 and in addition, coordinator for the Diocesan Drug Quiz Schools since 1998.

Reichert also has experience working with social services to ensure safety for students of violence and abuse.
