 THANKSGIVING MASS: St. Daniel – St. Matthew Academy celebrated its Thanksgiving Mass on Tue., Nov. 24 in the academy’s gym. Ms. Adler’s kindergarten class celebrated the Mass with help from their 6th grade friends.  The children created and wore headdresses and pilgrim outfits that replicated those worn at the original Thanksgiving Feast. The children recited the readings and brought up the gifts. This is a school tradition that the children look forward to every year since it began in 1995.Following the Mass, the kindergarten class had a Thanksgiving feast in the classroom. John Adler, Ms. Adler’s father, cooked the turkey and the children brought in items for the feast. The children invited their parents and 6th grade friends to share in the food and fun.
