Chris Foley appointed to succeed Beth A. Broadway

Syracuse — InterFaith Works chairperson, Linda Ervin, and the Board of Directors recently announced the selection of Chris Foley as the new president/CEO of InterFaith Works. Foley brings impressive experience to the job, having dedicated more than 20 years to advancing community well-being through international development and grassroots service. “At the heart of each role has been the same purpose that guides InterFaith Works: mobilizing resources, building partnerships, and ensuring that vulnerable populations have the support needed to thrive,” Foley said.

A resident of the Syracuse area, Foley is committed to investing his energy into strengthening equity, dialogue, and community resilience in Central New York as he steps into his new role. Foley’s appointment follows the retirement of Beth A. Broadway on Oct. 31, whose involvement in InterFaith Works spans 30 years, the last 15 of which have been as president/CEO.

“Chris’ breadth of experience as a team leader, community builder, and project manager gives him the management skills we need,” Broadway said. “His diplomacy, international communications, and humbleness give him the relational skills needed to be President of IFW. His sincere interest in our Capacity Growth Campaign, his understanding of what it has taken to grow the agency, and what it has meant to lose the refugee program, are extraordinary. I am confident that Chris’ leadership and vision will ensure the agency’s continued growth and impact for many years to come.”
