After several months of Most Holy Rosary parish committee planning and coordinating, the 2022 Oktoberfest celebration has begun to take shape.

This year’s event is scheduled for 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Most Holy Rosary Church grounds on Rt. 26 in Maine, Broome County. Admission is free. 

Available on the menu are clam chowder, steak & cheese, chicken spiedies, sausage with peppers & onions, hot dogs, pizza and ethnic favorites such as halupki, halushki, pierogi and kielbasa. Beer, wine and soft drinks will also be available.

Various desserts, a bake sale, basket raffle and kids’ games are available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The “Pennies from Heaven” Super Raffle winners will be drawn at 7 p.m.

Entertainment includes the Maine Community Band, Kevin Ludwig, Gordie Gottlieb, Friday at Fred’s, BC Celtic Pipe & Drum and Last Call.
