As the organization did for Thanksgiving, Brady Faith Center will take the lead to produce and distribute hearty and healthy Christmas and Easter dinners for 660 families through a partnership with 18 neighborhood organizations. Brady Faith Center also recently partnered with Miss Prissy’s to distribute over 300 Heat and Eat Thanksgiving meals to individuals living in our Syracuse communities.

Food boxes will be assembled at the Brady Market and hot meals will be prepared at the Brady Market Kitchen and then distributed directly to families in need in collaboration with the following organizations: Near Westside Peace-Making Program, the Boys and Girls Club, PEACE Inc, Huntington Family Center, St. Joseph’s Primary Care West, the Spanish Action League, the Westside Learning Center, Syracuse STEM at Blodgett, Seymour Dual Language Academy, St. Lucy’s Church, Frazier School, PS Leadership Academy (Fowler), McKinley Brighton, Doula 4 A Queen, Hopps Memorial Church, Brady Faith Center, Second Olivet Church, and Great Grace Church.

This event is part of a larger mission and vision to increase Hope, Health, and Healing in a spirit of kinship with service in the wider Syracuse community.

Thanks to our lead donors who make this mission possible: The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, National Grid, JMA, St. Joseph’s Church (Camillus), Holy Cross Church, CARE: Center for Aging Resources and Enrichment, Pathfinder Bank, and Wegmans.

Tax-deductible donations to help with the cost of the meals can be made to the Brady Faith Center, 404 South Ave., Syracuse, NY 13204, or at www.bradyfaithcenter.org.

“The opportunity at hand is to personally meet community members and provide a celebratory and nutritious holiday meal alongside 18 like-minded organizations primarily on the west and south side of Syracuse. This community need and collaboration is too important to pass on. We must share our unique model and capacity with others, especially individuals and families who need it the most,” said Kevin Frank, Brady Faith Center Director.

“Holidays are a time of coming together and celebrating and National Grid wants to do what it can to ensure that there is a hot, nourishing meal on dining tables this season,” said Alberto Bianchetti, National Grid’s Regional Director of Customer and External Affairs. “We are proud to support the Brady Faith Center’s holiday initiative for the fourth consecutive year, both with our volunteers and a financial contribution to extend the reach of this program. Fighting back against hunger and insecurity is just one way we help our customers address the challenges they face and provide a more equitable future.”
