Hundreds of women from the diocese and beyond gathered at Syracuse’s Oncenter Oct. 26 for the tenth annual Syracuse Catholic Women’s Conference, themed around the “Fountain of Life.” The day of prayer, speakers, and fellowship began with Mass celebrated by Bishop Douglas J. Lucia and concluded with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and Benediction. Throughout the day, attendees heard from three speakers — Sister Mercy Marie, SV, of the Sisters of Life (near right); Jane Brennan, author and counselor; and Father Peter Van Lieshout, a priest of the Diocese of Rochester (far right) — who offered moving personal testimonies and reflections that explored the many faces of God’s mercy and love.
