HFS Norwich students experience rocks, stars and more

Last month, third- to sixth-grade students from Holy Family School in Norwich visited the Ho Tung Visualization Lab, The Robert M. Linsley Geology Museum and The Colgate University Greenhouse at Colgate University. The Ho Tung Visualization Lab is a digital planetarium that immerses audience members in stunning visualizations from sliding down a microscope to the far reaches of the cosmos. Students enjoyed a planetarium show, spent time planting in the greenhouse and explored rocks, minerals and fossils related to the geologic past of New York state. This was an immersive learning experience to support the students’ science skill sets and expand their knowledge in these topic areas. (Submitted photo)
