Members of the SUNY Oswego Hall Newman Center student ministry put the hammer down with the ARISE organization on Nov. 7 and 14. ARISE is a national organization dedicated to providing easier accessibility for community members with disabilities. The Hall Newman Center student ministry collaborated with the Oswego office of ARISE, working at the nearby First United Methodist Church to build wooden sections of ramps that will be assembled on site to make custom walkways for residents of Central New York. With approximately two dozen volunteers between the two outings, students from the SUNY Oswego campus community enjoyed volunteering and helping out in the Oswego community. (Photo submitted)
