St. Louis Gonzaga Church, 520 Rutger St., Utica, will hold an anointing and healing Mass at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, in honor of St. Charbel. All who attend will receive a special anointing with the oil from the body and a blessing with a relic of St. Charbel.

More than 33,000 healing miracles by St. Charbel have been reported to date in the records of the Monastery of St. Maron in Annaya, Lebanon, with many countless miracles reported throughout the world. St. Charbel is a great intercessor who develops a true relationship with those asking for his intercession through faith and prayer. Many times, this leads to a miracle through God’s will.

St. Charbel was beatified in 1965 and canonized in 1977 by Pope Paul VI. He is known as the “Miracle Monk” who unites all religions through his holiness as the great healer of all faiths.
