Nearly 600 young people were recognized in services held across the Diocese during November, honoring the contributions of our parish altar servers. The Office of Vocation Promotion coordinated the second annual recognition. Last year, servers gathered at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. This year ceremonies took place in local parishes and vicariates to allow more servers to attend and be honored by their congregations. Servers received a special blessing, a server pin to wear and a personalized prayer card from Bishop Douglas J. Lucia.
