Bishop Lucia to preside at grotto Mass for closing of Season of Creation

All are invited to join Bishop Douglas J. Lucia and the Diocesan Caring for Our Common Home Task Force members to celebrate the closing of the Season of Creation at a Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, in the outdoor Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes at Our Lady of Hope Church, 4845 South Salina St., Syracuse.

Celebrated annually, the Season of Creation is a time to renew our relationship with God our Creator, with all of creation and with one another. Pope Francis tells us: “This is the season for letting our prayer life be inspired anew, to reflect on our lifestyles, to undertake prophetic acts for creation. It’s a time to call for courageous decisions and direct our planet toward life.”
