BINGHAMTON — The Binghamton Parishes of St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Patrick offered gifts for parishioners and also needy families at Thanksgiving.

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving volunteers bundled loaves of bread, candles, and prayer cards. A dozen volunteers assembled 160 bundles, which were blessed at the Thanksgiving Day Mass at the newly remodeled St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Every family received a “bundle” to be shared at the Thanksgiving table.

Also, on Nov. 19 the parishes distributed their Thanksgiving Dinner Bags at the St. Patrick’s location. This year  210 families received the assistance. The group also served soup to those coming to receive their Thanksgiving Bags.
