MATTYDALE — St. Margaret’s School held Career Day May 17.
Students were asked to dress in a simple outfit reflecting what career they would like to have when they “grow up.”
During the morning, a panel of speakers spoke about their chosen careers: Syracuse Chief of Police Frank Fowler; English professor and Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Le Moyne College Kate Costello-Sullivan; instructor and owner of Five Star Martial Arts Paul Napoli; and former WNBA player and coach Camille Murphy.
During the day, the importance of education and what potential careers might encompass the students’ interests were discussed.
At the conclusion of the program, students wrote thank-you cards to their parents for their Catholic education. One student wrote, “Thank you for sending me to St. Margaret’s School. I love our science lab and I hope to become an engineer someday.”
