The Syracuse University Brass Ensemble presents its Spring Concert at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse on Sunday April 14 at 1 p.m.  The Cathedral is located at 259 E. Onondaga Street on Columbus Circle.  This will be the third year that the concert has been hosted by the Cathedral.

The event will feature pop and classical tunes for the season including the Olympic Fanfare by John Williams, an excerpt from the Saint-Saens opera Samson et Dalila, and the premier performance of an arrangement of Billy Joel’s Root Beer Rag.

Brian DuSell, the Cathedral’s organist and music director, will join the group for a special number.

There is no charge for admission, but attendees will be encouraged to make a free-will offering to support the Cathedral’s numerous human service outreach programs.

The Syracuse University Brass Ensemble (SUBE) is a group of 35 professional-level brass and percussion musicians.  Members are drawn from the faculty, staff and students from Syracuse University and Upstate Medical University, as well as accomplished musicians from the Upstate New York community.
