Bishop Douglas J. Lucia announced the following appointments:
• Father Thomas P. Kobuszewski, pastor of Transfiguration Church in Syracuse, has been appointed pastor emeritus of Transfiguration Church, effective August 14.
• Father James A. Schultz, pastor of Christ Our Light Church in Pulaski and St. Anne, Mother of Mary Church in Mexico, has been appointed pastor of Transfiguration Church in Syracuse while remaining administrator of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Oswego. He will also serve as the bishop’s delegate to the Latin Mass community. This appointment is effective August 14.
• Msgr. Francis Osei-Nyarko, parochial vicar of St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse, has been appointed administrator of Christ Our Light Church in Pulaski and St. Anne, Mother of Mary Church in Mexico, effective August 14.
• Father John Baptist Nguyen Van Tuoi, the Diocesan Chaplain for the Asian Apostolate, has been incardinated into the Diocese of Syracuse as of July 15. Father Nguyen was formerly an extern priest from the Diocese of Long Xuyen, Vietnam.
