Immaculate Conception School (Fayetteville) students in the Kindergarten classes of both Mrs. M. Pierret and Mrs. E. Schmidt had a great time at their fall field trip to Beak and Skiff Apple Orchard in LaFayette. The youngsters were able to ride the tractor truck, drive through the orchard and pick Cortland apples that were ripe and ready. They enjoyed their snack, too, eating cinnamon donuts with apple cider and spending some time at the playground. They have learned about apples in their respective classrooms like the parts of the apple, how to make applesauce and read a book about Johnny Appleseed. Everyone had a fun time including parent volunteers. (Submitted story and photos)
