Fayetteville’s Immaculate Conception (IC) first-grade classes of Ms. Centore and Mr. Stone prepared and led the liturgy at the celebration of the Feast of Ascension. Each of the students read and brought the offertory gifts. The Mass celebrant was Fr. Thomas Ryan, pastor, with the fifth-graders serving as the altar servers. Under the direction of Ms. Constantine, the IC School Choir sang songs and hymns. One of the first-grade violinists played music before Mass and toward the end of the liturgy, the students sang a special song.
