He is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Don took care of his mother until she died. He worked for over 50 years for the Diocese of Syracuse at the Chancery Office.

His home was his “castle,” and neighbors can attest to the immaculate care he gave to his home, lawn, and rock garden. He was often teased that every blade of grass was perfect, and he was known to be of help to his neighbors. Don was very athletic. He played sports during his high school years, including basketball and baseball, and began golfing at a young age. As an adult, he enjoyed hiking and skiing.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Oct. 23 at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Avenue, Syracuse, where he was a member his entire life. Don will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt.
