Father Edward J. Reimer, a priest of the diocese for more than 50 years, died August 15. He was 79 years old.
Father Reimer’s ministry included service in Utica, Solvay, Manlius, Mattydale, Syracuse, Chittenango, and South America.
The vigil for a deceased priest will be celebrated August 22 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 1341 Murray Drive, Chittenango. The funeral Mass will be celebrated August 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s.
A celebration of Father Reimer’s life and ministry will appear in the next issue of the Catholic Sun.
