Sacred Heart Council #6282 Knights of Columbus, based at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is a longtime ardent supporter of Joseph’s House for Women, which is located on Court Street in Syracuse. In collaboration with the parish community at the Basilica, the Knights can make generous financial and material donations to the non-profit. Most recently, they secured a $2,500 donation from the New York State Council Knights of Columbus Charities, Inc.

On behalf of the Knights’ Worthy State Deputy Anthony Ippolito, New York State Treasurer John Sowinski presented the check to Melissa Roeder, grants and program development manager of Joseph’s House, at the March 30 Sunday Masses. Roeder thanked parishioners for their “never-ending support of the mission of Joseph’s House.”

“We were also witness to a very spiritual Laetare Sunday Eucharistic celebration,” said #6282 Grand Knight Brian Langdon. “Thank you, Melissa, John, Fr. Andrew Baranski, and the Knights of Columbus, for making this celebration possible. Dziękuję bardzo! Vivat Jesus!” (*Thank you very much! *May Jesus live!)
