Yes, it does get a goat, and in a great way! Pre-K through sixth grade as well as seventh and eighth graders at St. Patrick–St. Anthony Church in Chadwicks took part in a Lenten campaign of “compassionate concern for our brothers and sisters throughout the world” through the Rice Bowl program. The goat pictured signifies that goats that can be purchased by Catholic Relief Services for families and villages in need in other countries. These students helped raise $560 which is enough for seven goats, each a daily source of nutritious milk. Livestock helps farm families increase their incomes and provide their children with well-rounded diets. Great job!
