The entrance of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Camden was especially busy one recent weekend following regular Masses. Tables were abundant with homemade specialties made and donated by the parish’s good bakers. The Altar Rosary Society works hard each February to hold the sale, and it sponsors the efforts of Camden native and former parishioner, Sister Debra Marie, and the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate. Cakes, breads, brownies, bags of snacks, and cookies were eagerly grabbed up as churchgoers hurried back home, braving the cold, fully supplied with plenty of treats and desserts. Jackie Mutch, Marilyn Ferris, and Sally Haley worked hard on the project, and they wish to thank all the bakers and patrons who made the effort a success.
