(Atlanta GA) The Catholic Sun, official news medium of the Diocese of Syracuse, won three honors in the annual Catholic Media Association awards program. The winners were announced at the organization’s recent conference held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Member publishers from across the country and Canada submitted approximately 3,200 entries for consideration in a number of categories. Member Catholic journalists working in newspaper, magazine, video, online and social media participated.

Monsignor Charles Fahey, a past director of Catholic Charities, was featured in one segment of a year-long Sun series celebrating the Charities’ centennial. Monsignor passed away in November 2023.
