Cathedral Academy at Pompei (CAP) is really, really good with food. Remember the incredible Election Day Supper? The parish followed that up Jan. 27 with Taste of Pompei, the best deal in town, with 24 chefs donating their time, talent and financial resources to offer a night of “sampling” (in actuality, all-you-can-eat) for only $20! One of the chefs was Father Daniel Caruso, the pastor of the Church of Our Lady of Pompei / St. Peter, who teamed with his wonderful family to offer Italian Wedding Soup and Sausage, Peppers and Onions. Lucy Paris, development director at CAP, summed up in her thank-you bulletin message for the Church of Our Lady of Pompei / St. Peter: “The chefs totally outdid themselves with dishes beyond delicious.
