A free workshop for religious-education directors and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) coordinators is slated for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Park Central Presbyterian Church, 504 E. Fayette St., Syracuse.

Interested in adding some creativity to your classes for students, catechumens, or candidates? Want to help them express their religious experiences?

Paulette Fry will demonstrate how to use poetry, music, art, and drama to help make the Scriptures come alive. The workshop is based on her 40 years of involving her congregation in her music program, helping to bring the Scriptures alive through use of the arts, but her suggestions, examples, and techniques will also enlighten and inspire all who teach religious education and Bible study.

A soup and sandwich lunch will follow. Please RSVP by Friday, Sept. 7, to discenaj@gmail.com.

The workshop is sponsored by the Syracuse Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
