Bishop Robert J. Cunningham will celebrate the 9:45 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Sunday, April 29, as part of Blue Sunday, the National Day of Prayer for Abused Children. The Mass will coincide with the conclusion of the diocese’s annual observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Bishop Cunningham has asked all parishes in the seven-county diocese to include special intentions for victims of child sexual abuse at their Masses. The Diocese of Syracuse observes Child Abuse Prevention Month annually during the Easter season.
