Bishop Douglas J. Lucia has announced the following pastoral appointments:
Rev. Immanuel Agbulu, a priest of the Diocese of Lokoja, Nigeria has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Mary–St. Peter Church, Rome, New York, effective March 15, 2024.
Rev. Bernard Menard has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Holy Family Church, Syracuse, New York. This appointment was effective January 27, 2024. Fr. Menard previously served as Parochial Vicar of St. Mary–St. Peter Church, Rome, New York.
Rev. Daniel Caughey, Pastor of St. Malachy Church, Sherburne, New York and St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus, New Berlin, New York has been appointed Vicar Forane for Vicariate 6 of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse. Vicariate 6 comprises the parishes in Cortland, Southeast Onondaga County, and Northern Chenango County. This appointment is effective February 22, 2024 and Fr. Caughey will continue as pastor of St. Malachy Church, Sherburne and St. Theresa, New Berlin.
