Tom had a long secular career in CNY community publications, and he was also ordained as a permanent deacon in 2010. It was only a matter of time before the Holy Spirit brought the two paths to an intersection at The Catholic Sun. After serving on the Sun board of directors, including chairing the group for several years, Tom filled the vacant editor-in-chief role in 2021, serving until 2025. During his tenure, the Sun refocused on local diocesan news and events and ventured into magazine publishing with SOLIS, our award-winning publication. Tom continues to contribute to The Catholic Sun and SOLIS. As Deacon Tom, he is assigned to the linked parishes of Christ the King and Pope John XXIII in Liverpool and serves part-time as a hospital chaplain at both Upstate Hospital campuses in Syracuse.
