Diocese of Syracuse seminarian Benjamin Schrantz was recently instituted as an acolyte at Theological College in Washington, D.C. As part of the journey to ordination to the priesthood, seminarians are instituted as acolytes. This enables them to assist priests and deacons at Mass in various ways. Ben is a native of Whitesboro, where he attended St. Paul’s Church.
