New Hartford events raise money for tot diagnosed with leukemia

St. John the Evangelist Church in New Hartford is raising funds for one of its own.
From noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, St. John’s Confirmation class will be holding a “Friendraiser” with food, fellowship, games, prizes, basket raffles, face painting, and a corn hole tournament to support Ella Rae Ryan. Ella is a 2-year-old parishioner who was diagnosed with Type B acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The event is downstairs in the church auditorium, with the suggested donation of $10 per family.
Right after the friendraiser, St. John’s Men’s Club will hold a delicious spaghetti dinner 4 to 7 p.m. for Ella in the same auditorium. Advance-sale tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for kids 11 and under; add $2 per ticket after Jan. 27.
