Arlene M. Olver and L. John Koniuto were married on September 6, 1969 at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church in Binghamton, the bride’s parish. L. John was a member of the former St. Catherine’s Church in Hillcrest. They are members of St. Thomas Aquinas Church where they raised their two sons, John K. Koniuto of Endwell and James S. Koniuto of Oakland, California. The bride had many cousins with daughters who were very dear to her. The selection of just one as a flower girl would have been difficult. Although it took much longer than usual to walk down the aisle, eight flower girls and one lucky ring bearer (nephew of the groom) were a lovely addition to the bridal party. The couple’s sons presented them with a vacation week at a Bermuda resort this past March. On September 6, a small dinner celebration was held at the Olver homestead in Beach Lake, PA, home to several generations of the bride’s deceased father, Kenneth E. Olver. The couple attributes their long lasting and loving relationship to their strong faith, respect for each other and commitment to their sacred vows.
