Le Moyne College’s Jazzuits vocal jazz ensemble will team up with vocalist Nancy Kelly and saxophonist Joe Carello for a 4 p.m. performance on Feb. 22 at James Commons located in the Le Moyne Campus Center. The event will feature more than 30 popular Disney tunes.
Nancy Kelly has received many awards including “Best Female Jazz Vocalist,” by Downbeat Reader’s Poll, and has performed at venues around the world, including The Rainbow Room and Lincoln Center. Saxophonist Joe Carello, currently the director of the Le Moyne College Jazz Ensemble, has received the “Outstanding Jazz Educator Award” from Central NY Jazz Arts Foundation.
The concert will be performed in a cabaret style and the repetoire will include “I Wanna Be Like You,” “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat,” “Trashin’ the Camp,” and “Alice In Wonderland.” Table seating is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. There will be general admission seating for $5.
