More than 230 people enjoyed the fourth annual St. Mary of Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament Parish Communion Brunch on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Daniele’s Banquet Specialists in New Hartford. Father Chris Ballard, the pastor at Our Lady of Hope in Syracuse, spoke on “The Joy of Being a Priest.” His talk offered insight into how and why he chose to become a priest and how events in his life led to that choice, and also how his decision has given him great joy.
