James & Mary Margaret (Van Hout) Van Damme of Westmoreland, N.Y., celebrated their 35th anniversary on July 6, 2009.
They were married at St Juliana’s in Detroit, Mich., where they both grew up, by Father Edward J. Oen, C.PP.S. They now are members of St. Mary’s/St Peter’s in Rome, N.Y.
Jim is an engineer at the Air Force Reseach Lab in Rome.
Mary Margaret is the Director of Deaf Ministry for the Syracuse Diocese.
Jim and Mary Margaret also teach Natural Family Planning through the
Couple to Couple League.
They’ve been blessed with four children, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters: Leo with his wife Kathleen and daughters Avery and Annika, Jan-Luc, Marieke, and Kateri.
