The new Leadership team of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities was installed during a Liturgy Sept. 17 at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt.

The new Leadership members are

Sister Barbara Jean Donovan, General Minister; Sister Louise Alff, Assistant GM; Sister Pamela Conte, general councilor; Sister Patricia Larkin, general councilor; Sister Jeanne Weisbeck, general councilor; and Sister Donna Zwigart, general councilor.

Officiating at the Mass was Pastor Father Thomas J. Ryan of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville; the homily was by Msgr. Neil E. Quartier of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Concelebrants included Father Michael J. Carmola, Father Thomas J. McGrath, Father Daniel C. Muscalino, Father William Wangler, Msgr. J. Robert Yeazel, and Msgr. Eugene M. Yennock.

The Leadership team was elected by representatives of the congregation in July at its General Chapter in Syracuse. The team is responsible for the day-to-day business management of the community as well as implementing the direction statement as adopted by sister-delegates at the Chapter. They will serve until 2020.

The community consists of 401 sisters in Central New York, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, several locations along the East Coast, California, Honolulu, Puerto Rico, Peru, and Kenya.
