A Life in the Spirit Seminar geared to strengthening and refreshing people’s faith will be held Saturday, May 13, at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero.

Deacon Kenneth Money will open the day with prayer. Then, various lay members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Syracuse Diocese will give the teachings and testimonies.

All of these members have been in the Charismatic movement serving the Church for over 25 years. Prayer for the release of the Holy Spirit is life- changing.

The seminar will also honor Mary, because it is the 100th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.

The seminar is free; a continental breakfast and a hot lunch are included. Reservations are necessary for ordering food; call Teresa Brusa at (315) 373-0771.

Over 8,000 Roman Catholics of the Syracuse Diocese have already experienced the Life in the Spirit Seminar. Those that have attended now have a fuller spiritual life and closeness to the Lord, while ministering in the Church.

The day starts with breakfast at 8 a.m. and concludes at 4:45 p.m. at the church at 8229 Brewerton Road in Cicero. A vigil Mass follows at 5 p.m. at Sacred Heart.
