Broome County Catholic Schools win grant from Coca-Cola

BINGHAMTON — The Sustainability Club of Seton Catholic Central High School has been awarded a Keep America Beautiful/Coca-Cola bin grant to purchase recyclable bins not only for Seton, but for the entire Catholic School system of Broome County. Through the grant, 15 new recycling bins (estimated value $1,000) were purchased; three bins went to each of the area’s Catholic elementary schools.  The bins promote the school’s recycling program and its goal of encouraging students to promote green awareness within the school and throughout the community.

The Sustainability Club at Seton is one of 52 organizations nationwide to receive this grant, and only one out of two organizations to receive this grant within New York State.
