DEWITT— Christian Brothers Academy students had an opportunity to learn more about organizations in the Syracuse area as Peer Ministers hosted a Service Fair in the Callahan Gym on Feb. 4.

More than 15 local organizations were on hand to provide information and answer questions from students. It was a great opportunity for students in all grade levels not only to learn about the organizations, but also to get some ideas for service for Confirmation and the service hours that they are required to have for school.

“All of our students can benefit from a constant reminder that it is our responsibility as Christians and part of the world community to help others and serve for the greater good,” said Marijane Finlay, Campus Ministry Service Coordinator. “The Service Fair is a great way to connect our students with organizations in the community that may appeal to them.”

Organizations at the Service Fair included Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, Camp Good Days, Syracuse Challenger Baseball, Van Duyn, Ronald McDonald House, Syracuse Parks and Recreation, Onondaga County White Branch Library, Food Bank, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hospice of CNY, Camp Alverna, Northside CYO and MoveAlong Inc.
